About Lyme Disease
Lyme disease is a bacterial infection that is most commonly spread through the bites of infected ticks. Common symptoms include fever, fatigue, headache, and rash. However, because these symptoms are also seen in many other medical conditions, a healthcare provider will typically rule out these other conditions before making a Lyme disease diagnosis. Once confirmed, the disease is often treated with antibiotics.
